Icon Collection
If you like to change your icons, folders, cursors, anything of that nature, then you need to check this site out. It has the largest collection that is available anywhere on the net.
It takes about a 1 minute at least to just load the main page, now don't worry it's not a graphic intense sight. Just be patient and let the entire page load to see all of them. Spam and virus free.
Code:
Code:
http://www.gbcdepot.com/icone/
There's every kind of icon here to download, for example there is;
Nature, Science History, Sports, Television, Movie, Cartoon, Anime, Women, Men, Kids stuff, Cartoon, Music, Rock Stars, Win XP, Win 3.1, Vista, and this is just a tip of the iceberg. I'm not kidding it's huge!!!
How it works; After the main page loads, pick out the types of Icons you want to view, click on it, and another window will open. Then just click on the icons do download a compressed zip file, and then extract the icons to a folder.
It's best to make a folder of your choice and location that you've named. From there it's not really hard to change the icon of your choice.
1. Open up Folder Options again by clicking on My Computer. When it launches, click on the Tools menu bar entry and select Folder Options.
2. Inside Folder Options, click on the File Types tab to reveal the list of all of the different file extensions on your computer.
3. Browse through the list and select the extension for which you want to change the icon.
4. Once you have the entry selected, click the Advanced button.
5. On the Edit File Type screen, click the Change Icon button, as shown in Figure 5-2.
6. The Change Icon screen will show. Here, you will be shown various system icons from which you can choose. If you do not find any that you like, just click on the Browse button and select an icon that you downloaded on your computer.
7. Once you find the perfect icon, click OK.
8. Click OK again to save your changes.
You don't have to reboot after you make your changes, because you will see your changes immediately after you click OK to save them.
It probably sounds really hard to do this, but trust me if I can do it then a anyone can do it.
Enjoy!
