Fake Android Apps Download Cost Customers Huge Bills

 

Over a thousand smartphone users found themselves being charged with huge bills after reportedly downloading fake apps from the Android Market. The mobile users were said to have been charged nearly £80.

The said Android apps used popular titles such as Assassins Creed, Cut the Rope, and Angry Birds. These apps then accessed the data of customers and sent three premium rate text messages whenever the user plays these games. The customers have used the apps several times
