Windows Messenger To Close Down On March 15

Microsoft has announced that its popular Windows Messenger will close down on March 15,2013.Windows Messenger which began as MSN Messenger back in 1999 grew up to a large user database of 100 million in 2010.Microsoft had already announced that it will close down the messenger in November 2012.But this week it has emailed all its users confirming that they will close down the messenger on March 15.

Microsoft which had brought Skype for a whooping 5.2 billion last year is now pushing its users to switch on to skype which has much more cool features that its predecessor. Skype offers instant messaging along with audio and video.In addition to it Skype users also has the ability to make calls across the globe at much cheaper prices. Windows Messenger will stop its operation in all countries except China where it runs under a license.
