Universal and Sony Caught For Generating Fake Views On Their Videos

Universal and Sony Entertainment along with many other including Micheal Jackson,Avril where all hit yesterday by a Major YouTube year end clean up.The year end clean up mainly aims at deleting the views which were generated using fake blackhat methods.

Among the channels that are hit by the winter update,Universal’s channel stands on top with a loss of 1 billion views followed by Sony which lost around 850 million views followed by RCA which lost 120 million views yesterday.The big boys were not the only ones who were hit by the update by Youtube.There are a lot of memebers whose channel’s were banned yesterday for using blackhat methods to promote their videos.

This update is the first of its kind in video sharing site,Youtube. Google had been trying to push out scammers from the search engine rankings with their recent Panda and Penguin update.From this winter update in Youtube it seems like Google is going to take a lot of security measures to prevent scammers in Youtube.

From a recent survey conducted by our team it has been found that about 70% of Youtube’s fake views were generated by sites like Youlikehits and AddmeFast.The remaining 30% is contributed by those persons who have their own bots to generate fake views.A few months back there was a flaw in Youtube which caused the blackhatters to generate millions of fake mobile views.This flaw was corrected soon by Google.But still there are rumours that the mobile view flaw still exists and there are some highly talented programmers who are using that trick still now.
